About Great Rivers

The Great Rivers Handbell Ensemble was founded on September 14, 2019 by Artistic Director Jeff White.  Our name comes from the convergence of two major rivers that surround St. Louis:  The Mississippi to the East and the Missouri to the North and West.  There's also a minor river called the Meramec to the West and South.

The group plays a variety of music from sacred to secular and performs in venues around the St. Louis Metro area.  Our ringers come from various backgrounds and levels of experience.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is our host location, providing rehearsal space and allowing us to ring on their five octaves of Schulmerich handbells and four octaves of Malmark Choirchimes®.  We rehearse weekly on Sunday evenings and generally follow a school year calendar by taking a break in the second half of December and all of June and July.

If you are interested in joining, or would like more information, please reach out to Jeff through the Contact page.  Rehearsals will begin in the Fall of 2019 with a target of May, 2020 for our first concert!
